We are located in Basel, Switzerland, at the heart of Europe. Basel is the center of the border triangle of France, Germany and Switzerland, situated between Swiss Jura, Germany’s Black Forest and the Vosges in Alsace, France. The city is widely acknowledged as Switzerland’s city of culture, hosting not only the oldest Swiss University (University of Basel), but also several internationally renowned museums (see Foundation Beyeler, Kunstmuseum Basel, Theather Basel, Tinguely Museum) and exhibitions (see Art Basel, Baselworld). The city of Basel is also home to academic and industrial institutions that are leaders in the life sciences field (see University of Basel, the Friedrich Miescher Institute, Novartis, Roche, Actelion, among many others).
Our laboratory is located at the Department of BioMedicine (DBM) of the University of Basel and University Hospital Basel, within the focal area Oncology. The DBM hosts several research groups focusing on translational research within the Oncology, Immunology, Neurobiology and Stem Cell fields. We collaborate very closely with the University Hospital Basel and the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of the ETH Zürich.
